Photography Project Number One – Complete

Posted by on Jan 27, 2011 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

I spent like two hours putting these matte boards together for photography. This class is really a money pit. I am happy that I am finished with this project though. The other projects for this class are much less difficult. Some of them even sound fun.

The boards look much nicer in person. I got some really unflattering angles on the photos. I put a lot of time into this project and I am proud of how well it turned out. I am very happy that I am finished with the project.

Tomorrow I have to turn the project in, and work on my print making stuff. We’ve started a new project and I really need to get my carving done. I am carving a radio into my linoleum for this next print. I think it is going to come out really nice. It will be extremely time consuming – also, the print is very delicate. I have some extremely fine details I need to work out with the design. Tiny letters and numbers are the bane of my existence. I hope I am able to produce a good plate from this design. If I have trouble I can probably make a new design – I am making sure that I give myself enough time to make a new plate if necessary. I am going to try to get some printing done as early as next week hopefully.

The quarter is going by pretty nicely so far. I have made some new friends in my classes. I thought that taking day classes would be a bigger change than it really is. The hardest part is waking up at 9 in the morning to drag myself to my print making class. Tomorrow the instructor won’t even be there so we don’t have to go. Coincidentally, this blog post is only being written because I don’t have to get up early tomorrow.

Levi had a tooth pulled today. He says that he isn’t in any pain. I am glad he is doing well. I was irritated that I had to work today, I couldn’t be there to take care of him. I think I am going to head to bed soon – it has been a long day.
