My opinion on this is probably not the norm, but I actually think that government should not recognize the difference between gay and straight marriages. Everyone should be in a sort of "domestic partnership" or "civil union" in the eyes of the government. After all, the concept of marriage came from religions and other world cultures - except in DOMA, marriage has never before been defined as "one man and one woman". This way, everyone still has the same rights, and the super-religious don't have to think that any gay people are actually "married", whether they are or not.

I completely understand the scary part. My city doesn't have a lot of bicycle infrastructure either, but some of the major roads do. The side streets aren't busy, so usually it's not a huge issue.

Hopefully cycling lanes will catch on, because for the less aggressive cyclist, they're a godsend.

You should make it a thing to go bowling some time. I think maybe your daughter might enjoy it. (I don't know how old she is though, lol)

I wasn't really hoping for anyone of them to win. Not really a football guy. I did, however, really enjoy some of the commercials. Jon Stamos getting headbutted was one of the best.

I wasn't really cheering for anyone. My husband was cheering for the patriots though. I spent my time equally criticizing both teams. =P

Having zero debt is awesome! I had recently paid my credit card off but I have since used it to make some purchases online. I am hoping to keep the balance to a minimum though, they can get out of hand quite quickly.

I haven't been bowling in years, probably 2007. I used to bowl once a week with friends but things happened and we can never all find the time to get together.

I hope you had a good time watching the game, who were you hoping to win?

I think that one problem that America also needs to address is that many of its streets are convenient for cars, but inconvenient for bikes. Biking in a busy street is a bit terrifying, and I find that when I do it, I hold up a lot of traffic and it's easy to get hit by a car that is moving much faster. I live in a city that also forbids biking on sidewalks to protect pedestrians, even though the injury that a pedestrian would get from getting hit by a bike is much less severe than an injury that a biker would get from getting hit by a car.

However, when I biked in Santa Monica, CA for a bit on their bike lanes, it was wonderful. I felt safe, and it made my trip fast. Santa Monica has bike lanes on on their major roads.

I've certainly spent my fair share of time living in a small apartment, it's not all that easy to find furniture, storage pieces, etc. Once I had my daughter and her toys cluttered the living room I decided it was time for a bigger place.

I agree with your mom on finding a new job before ending your current position but I also know what it's like to be employed at a place you don't like or are not being treated well in. Don't let other people bring you down though, it's not worth it.

Thanks for your comment :) Those cats look adorable until they step on your eye in the middle of the night because you were asleep in between them and the windowsill.

Or when they use your bed as a jumping off point as they run through the entire apartment at 4 in the morning.

Oh, I'm glad someone else did the survey! Your cats are so adorable! I used to have quite a negative outlook on life but in recent years it's something I have tried to change. Optimism is now something I put first and it has made the biggest difference in my life! It's good that you like to make people laugh. That will help! :)
