Jobs, Birthdays, Friends & Weddings
Now that I am unemployed, I’m going to try to blog more often. My last week of work was pretty hectic and I am glad that it is over, and happy that I have a husband who will love and support me even without an income. (Not that my income was ever steady, but it was still there.) I’m not concerned about money, as I budget very liberally, but I am still going to be cautious.
Yesterday night I went out with some friends to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately Levi wasn’t able to make it because of his army schedule, I think he would have really enjoyed himself. We all went out to the Central Cinema in Seattle where they played Labyrinth. I’d never seen it before, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. It was a good experience overall, and I am glad I was able to go.
Levi recently came out to his coworkers which was a positive experience for him — I told him it would be, but he was, understandably, still scared — and we went out to dinner with one of them and her fiancé. They are getting married soon, and need a wedding photographer, so guess who got the job? Me. That’s right, I’ve got another wedding. I am happy that I am being given the opportunity to expand my portfolio like this, and it is excellent training if I ever decide to start doing photography for a living. On the subject of weddings, I really ought to upload some of the shots from Gabby & Ben’s wedding to my blog. Some of my friends were interested in seeing them, and I have been pretty slow at getting them uploaded. Perhaps I will have that done tonight — I have a lot of time on my hands now!
