Things I Love - Apple Airport Extreme
Man, have I had a busy weekend! I had a wonderful Friday, which you’ve no doubt read about by now, a horrible Saturday which you have also probably read about and a great relaxing Sunday. Now we’re on Monday, which of course means that I have to work on my blog with another “Things I Love” installment. Monday’s have been a lot busier for me as of late, not that that’s a bad thing. I like having something to do. So, without further ado, here is the Thing I Love for this week – the Airport Extreme by Apple. The Airport Extreme is a wireless capable internet router, and let me preface this by saying that is does a fantastic job at routing!
We bought the Airport Extreme after trying out some other routers – namely an $80 Linksys one. The Linksys was absolutely 100% terrible by all means. For $80 dollars, it should be able to hold a reasonable wireless latency at only 15 feet. This was not the case. Levi and I would both be playing World of Warcraft, and at any given moment one of us would start lagging profusely. We tried all sorts of solutions, and could not get the $80 router to hold a connection reliably for longer than 30 minutes. I was so irritated with the device that I actually returned it. Anyone who knows me, knows that I will deal with something I hate just to avoid a customer service desk.
