I got on the scale this morning to find that I weigh less than 250 pounds for the first time in about a year! To be exact, I weigh 249.4 pounds – only 50 pounds from my goal weight of 200 pounds. I hope to be there in approximately 6-7 months, maybe sooner.

We have been making an effort to go to the gym every day. I find that having a routine everyday helps to ensure we keep going. We took two days off last week, one because we were exhausted and two because we had to take my mom to the hospital to see my dad. The hospital night was a bit scary, and at the end of it we not only skipped the gym but we also ate chinese food. (Chinese food isn’t always diet friendly) Needless to say, that won’t be happening again – the following two days I had gained about 1.5 pounds. It wasn’t a lot, but it was the first time I have not shown positive weight loss in the last two weeks. I have learned my lesson.

Today I have the day off work so I can see the dentist. I still have some stuff that needs to be taken care of in the tooth department that I wasn’t able to finish up at the end of the previous school year. What happened, was that I was unable to get an appointment day off from work, and I had to cancel. This happened at the beginning of finals week, and then I started up Anatomy and Physiology – a class I could not afford to do badly in. Because of this, I neglected rescheduling the appointments. This time I should be able to finish them before school even starts. Hopefully.

This one is going to be short, I have to get ready to go to the dentist.
