Let the cooking begin..
Levi and I have made the decision to stop eating out so much. It is a huge money pit, and for the next 6 months we have no business spending the extra money because we simply won’t have it like we usually do. I can’t really say I couldn’t have seen this coming. I probably could have saved more money, but I am not very good at thinking ahead sometimes. I will be spending a lot more of my time on the computer – probably updating this blog and playing World of Warcraft.
I suppose spending time on the computer is better than spending time spending money. We are cutting back a lot. We’ve made the decision to downsize the Netflix, eliminate the TV service, and are giving up our carports – we would have downsized our cell service but we are already the cheapest we can be there. One downside to this cutting back is that I will no longer be getting my camera this year – we just won’t have the money. Maybe I will be able to save for it later, but right now it isn’t an option.
I am going to be on the hunt for dinner ideas on the cheap, and we are cutting costs with our grocery shopping as well. Tonight we are having Ham and White Beans. We were walking down the been isle and it just sounded good. Today was the first time that I have ever actually gone grocery shopping with the intent of filling up the pantry. I almost feel bad for never using the pantry – some people don’t have them and we never even use ours. Does that make me a bad person?
I am looking for ideas for dinner. I think I have these next few weeks covered. Hopefully someone has some ideas for me – if anybody actually reads this. Who knows.
