The future.

As many of my readers know, I was intending to open a business this year. Shortly after coming to this conclusion, I realized that I have no clue how to even start doing something like that. I started doing my research and have since concluded that you would have to be insane to consider opening a business in the state of Washington. Washington imposes some absurd taxes on businesses, like a business and occupation tax. Only one other state imposes a tax like this, and that is west virginia, and it only applies to utility companies apparently. On top of this, some cities also impose these taxes.

I guess I will just have to become a nurse. I am unsure about my future at this point. As much as I loathe the idea of being a nurse, I hate even more the idea of hiring an accountant. Especially when I might not even make enough money to pay for an accountant. I could probably make enough money, but the possibility of not making enough is just scary for me. I just want to earn an income doing something I love – why is it so difficult?

Maybe in the future I will reconsider, but at this point I am thinking I am going to pursue nursing. I really need to come to a decision soon. I think I love the idea of being a photographer more than I like the idea of doing all of the work necessary to operate a business. The pros of becoming a nurse are nice. It will be hard work, but it will be a reliable source of income. Being a photographer wouldn’t provide the same stability. I would be free to do whatever I wanted, but it wouldn’t provide the stability I like to have in my life.

We have quite the day ahead of us tomorrow. I need to go take pictures for a photography project. We might go to Seattle to take pictures. I think that would be a lot of fun. I also have to stop into school tomorrow to pick up my prints. I intended to pick them up earlier, but when I got there my prints were still wet. I can’t transport wet prints. That would be a disaster. I hope they are still safe tomorrow – I would hate to have my prints damage by some idiots with grabby hands.
