Day 2, Architecture and Chicken

Day 2

It’s day two of my 365 project. I brought my camera with me to work today, but left it in my trunk. I didn’t feel like it would be a good idea to bring it inside with me. Some of my coworkers are a little messy, and like to break things. I had a nice day at work today, I had to deal with the new till system though which was a bit aggravating. I think I will get better with practice, but at the same time I do not want to practice.

As soon as I got off of work, I did my usual: Drive home, get dressed, and leave for school. I brought my camera with me to class and walked around campus with it. The picture above was shot in a hallway in the science building. I thought this picture would be significant because the science building is pretty much my life right now. My favorite part of this picture is the symmetry in everything. You can tell that the architect paid close attention to detail when this building was designed. I think it also shows how dismal the halls of this school are at night. I took the photo after I finished an exam, an exam that I pretty much bombed. Tomorrow is a new day I suppose. I feel stressed over school right now, and I don’t do well with stress.

Tonight I cooked fried chicken breasts and Levi made rice. Instead of wasting the egg batter we poured it into the rice and it tasted really good. I like not having to waste things. I feel accomplished, it was the first time I have ever fried chicken. Part of that is because I do not really like fried chicken, and the other part is that I do not own a deep fryer. I think that if I did own a deep fryer I would end up using it more than I should. I think fried food is too greasy and it makes me feel sick.  The chicken was good – a bit burnt, but still good.
