The other day I was browsing Flickr and I fell upon a photographer who was working on a 365 day photography project. I thought about it and decided it was something I would really like to try.
My favorite thing about this project is that it is going to be a challenge. I like challenges, I feel like they show the depth of a person. I am not entirely sure if I will be able to complete this 365 project, but I am certainly going to try. What I hope to gain from this, aside from the large amount of content this will generate for my blog, is to grow as a photographer – to push my own limits. While not every photo will be art, they will all tell a story of who I am as a person.
The picture above is a pumpkin spice candle. I love Fall and the holidays, and I love the scent of pumpkin spice. This candle has been filling our home with its delicious scent for the past week, and I think it really characterizes my mood. I love the changing colors of the leaves, and the crisp morning air. I even love the rain that Fall brings with it.
The concept of a 365 project is somewhat daunting to me. Tomorrow is a hard enough concept to grasp for me at times, 365 days seems like a lifetime. I am going to challenge myself to take my camera with me wherever I go: work, school, shopping. I will take pictures throughout the day, choosing one from each day. I will then publish that picture and write about it, and whatever it represents.
Hopefully this will be interesting for everyone, if not – oh well.
